Registration for the 11 plus tests for secondary transfer September 2020 will open on 1 May 2019, and will remain open until 5pm on 26 June 2019.
In order to sit the tests, parents will need to register their children before the deadline of 5pm on 26 June 2019, as late registrations cannot be accepted.
The admission arrangements for the grammar schools for September 2020 entry give some priority to pupils who are eligible for the Pupil Premium and who pass the 11 plus test. Up to 18 places in each school will be allocated to pupils attracting the Pupil Premium if they score 104 or above in the tests, ahead of other children who may score higher on the day.
We would encourage the parents of children in Year 5 who are eligible for the Pupil Premium to register their children for the tests. The tests have been designed to assess ability and children do not need to have had any tutoring to perform well, should this be a concern.
Both Ilford County and Woodford County High Schools have their open evenings on 20 June 2019 from 6pm and parents are encouraged to visit, if they are unsure if the school would suit their child.
