Parent’s and young people’s questionnaire: Special Educational Needs and Disability

As part of the High Needs review work to create the right mix of special needs education places for the long term, we are seeking views from parents of children and young people with SEND  aged 0-25 and of  young people with SEND. A short survey is available for parents and young people to complete on the Redbridge Council website and also on the Local Offer website.  We are writing directly to parents of children, and young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan(EHCP) or Statement of SEN  to ask them to complete the questionnaire.  We also keen to include views from parents of children in receipt of SEN support in schools.

Dear parents,

Redbridge Council is reviewing its education offer and services for children and young people aged 0-25 who have special educational needs and/or a disability. The aim is to ensure that there is the right mix of mainstream and specialist school places, Early Years and post 16 places and services for children with SEN and disabilities in the future, as the 0-25 year old population continues to grow. The Council are keen to include views from parents who have a child or young person with SEND (either at school support or with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)/Statement). Your views will help shape priorities for future education provision and services for special needs children and young people. It would be really helpful if you could take a few minutes to complete the on line survey on this important issue which you can find at:
