Empowering Parents Together - Parent Carer Forum (EPT)

A small group of Redbridge parent carers have come together to revive Empowering Parents Together – the borough’s parent carer forum.
As a group we are committed to being organised, communicating well, being respectful and looking for remedies and/or solutions in all we do. We are supported by Contact & RIASS.
You can reach us on the info@empoweringparentstogether.org.uk
Our new mobile phone numbers are 07486 880799 and 07486 880646.
You can follow us on Twitter @EPT_Redbridge and Facebook "Empowering Parents Together - Redbridge"
Our website is www.empoweringparentstogether.org.uk
The Forum is all about empowering parent carers of any child or young person aged 0-25 with a disability who lives in (or receives services) from Redbridge as we want to improve services. When we are at meetings, we are representing the wider membership of the forum. We are not there for our individual issues. This means that we constantly need to draw universal lessons from our shared experiences and make sure that we collect up to date evidence. That way we will have a stronger collective voice.
If you think you might have some time each week to volunteer to help run the forum (maybe you have a special interest?) please do get in touch with us. You can help shape our plans. Or maybe you just want to be kept informed. Perhaps you will have the time to get along to an EPT coffee morning or other events? We are revising our Membership Form and want to encourage everyone to fill one out – even if you did one before –as that way we can have an up to date list of everyone who is interested in what we do.
