We are very proud of our school and we strive to do the very best we can for all our pupils.

- We are a 4 form entry community primary. Currently, there are just over 700 pupils on roll aged from three and a half to eleven years of age. The school is set in a leafy part of the outer London Borough of Redbridge.
- We are lucky enough to have really good facilities including a large field, three halls, and two playground. We also have a quad area with pet rabbits in and a pond.
- Our curriculum is built on the philosophy that children learn best through experience so we do have lots of visitors in school and lots of visits to museums, concerts and places of interest. Our parents come along and support these, for which we are very grateful.

An overview of the school
Redbridge Primary School is a four form entry school which is fully inclusive to all children. It has a small provision for children with Autism called the Liverpool Street classroom that children attend during some parts of the day to undertake their interventions which are delivered by LSA’s to support them with social skills, gross and fine motor skills and language skills. Some children also access English and Maths sessions here. The rationale behind this is to enhance mainstream provision. All children with SEND are always included in all aspects of wider school life such as trips, sports days and concerts. They are also a part of the wider school life by being represented in Pupil Advocates, Play Leaders etc.

Classrooms across the school are colourful, stimulating and conductive to both work and play and encourage children to become curious and interested in their learning.

The achievement of every child is tracked using a robust tracking system regularly to ensure each child achieves their potential. Any child who is not making progress is identified and parents are informed. Support may then be put into place to support and closely monitor the child’s progress. Regular review meetings will take place at every stage to ensure parents are informed and included.

Measuring pupil's progress
The progress of pupils with SEND using the school tracking system. Termly review meetings are held to update parents and carers. These are attended by the class teacher and/or LSA. Targets are reviewed and updated with the help of parents or carers. The school also reports on progress and attainment through the Annual Reports in the Spring term.

- Accessibility of the school
Accessibility of the school
The school is fully accessible both inside and outside. There is a lift on site to enable entry to the Year 6 classrooms. There are handrails on either side of all staircases. We ensure that equipment used is accessible to children regardless of their needs. There is an accessible toilet within the Key Stage 1 section of the building which also has a shower and the Key Stage 2 section also has an accessible toilet.
Redbridge Primary School actively encourages children with SEND to attend extra-curricular activities and represent the school in whole school competitions. All children with SEND are involved in school trips alongside their peers and we encourage parents to attend too. A risk assessment is carried out prior to the trip to highlight any specific needs and what steps will be taken to mitigate the risks to ensure the safety of all children.
- Transition arrangements
Transitions - starting or changing schools
We recognise that transitions can be difficult for a child with SEND and take vital steps to ensure that any transition is as smooth as possible.
If your child is moving to another school:
We will contact the school SENDCo and ensure he/she knows about any special provision that has been put in place for your child. All records about your child are passed on to the new school as soon as possible.
When moving classes in school:
Information will be handed over to the new class teacher in advance. A planning meeting will take place with the new teacher. All IEP’s and information will be shared with the new teacher.
In Year 6:
Where possible your child will visit their new school on several occasions and in some cases staff from the new school will visit your child in this school. They will also attend the Primary Transition Day with their peers. Meetings will be arranged with the relevant staff to discuss the specific needs of the child. Some of our vulnerable students may require additional transition sessions which are run by the Local Authority.
