When someone is sent to prison you may feel as if you too are serving a sentence. Perhaps you feel confused or lonely and would like someone to talk to. You might find you have questions about the prison system or visiting and keeping in touch.
Prisoners' Families and Friends Service (PFFS) provides practical help for prisoners' families, through:
- Freephone helpline
- Help at court
- Our Family Centre
- Information and advice
- Befriending service
Services are free, confidential and tailored specifically to your needs. There is a small staff team, although most of the services are provided by volunteers. Prisoners' families are actively involved in the planning and development of the service. PFFS is based in London, if you can’t come to us, we can provide help by telephone or e-mail.
