Just For Kids Law
Just for Kids Law is a charity which specialises in advocacy and legal support for children and young people in difficulty. We offer one-to-one advocacy for children and young people facing different challenges, including:
- housing problems or homelessness
- being in care or a care leaver
- immigration issues
- being in trouble with the police or involved with the youth justice system
- school exclusions
- accessing benefits
Our Youth Advocates work directly with young people to help them express their thoughts, wishes and feelings, help them understand their rights, and give them information about different issues and services. Our Advocates can work with a young person to find specialist advice, support or legal representation on a particular issue if a young person needs it.
We also have an in-house legal team who work directly with children and young people. Our solicitors provide free legal representation and advice for issues around:
- education
- community care
- criminal law
- immigration
