Valentines High School
At the school the traditional values of discipline, respect and good behaviour are combined with leading edge practice in teaching and learning. We strive for every member of the school community to be the very best they can be. Our aim is to help our students develop into happy, educated young people with the desire and drive to succeed. I look forward to meeting you at upcoming school events.
As a high performing Teaching School we strive to offer the very best facilities for our students. These include a sixth form block, state of the art physical education facilities including an astro-turf pitch and tennis courts, a gym and sports hall, a drama studio, a music room and a set of new science labs in our main building.
As a Teaching School the government has recognised our high performing status so that we can offer professional training to all our staff. This helps to further raise academic standards. Valentines supports other schools and teacher training at all levels in the area. Valentines is also a Leading Edge School. We are truly at the ‘cutting edge’ of new educational developments and leave no stone unturned in seeking ways to further enhance the educational experience of each and every one of our students.
Our school motto is ‘In harmony, achieving excellence’ and everything we do is planned to enable us to achieve this vision. Our most recent Ofsted inspection placed us in the very highest category – ‘Outstanding’ in every section of the report. Outstandingly good attitudes to learning and behaviour, outstanding quality of teaching and outstanding results were all noted, as was the outstanding harmony achieved in our diverse school community. Valentines has improved even further since the inspection. We value our good relationships with parents, well-wishers, the local community and our national and international educational partners.
