Alongside other professionals and agencies, the psychology service within the Redbridge child development centre (CDC) provides highly specialist assessment and support to children below 11 years of age, where there is a neurodevelopmental disorder.
The psychologist supports a range of concerns:
- severe and complex challenging behaviour (e.g. hurting self and others and across several settings such as school and home)
- assessment of specific neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. ASD and/or ADHD)
- incapacitating mood or anxiety disorders (i.e. those that interfere with daily functioning)
- eating disorders and complex feeding issues (e.g. sensory/behavioural)
- complex sleep disorders
