Prosthetic Service | Redbridge NELFT
The regional prosthetic service provides assessment, prescriptions, manufacture, rehabilitation, care and maintenance of upper and lower limb prostheses (artificial limbs).
The multidisciplinary team includes a consultant, nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, rehabilitation assistant, prosthetist, psychotherapist and technicians. All services are provided within one clinical setting. Care and maintenance of the prostheses is also supplied. The team also sees pre-amputation consultations and provides support to those who maybe unable to tolerate a prosthesis. We follow the NASDAB guidelines.
