Parks and Nature Reserves

Get your Mum, Dad or carer to take you out and about to explore the local parks and nature reserves – fantastic places for a free day out.
The parks in Redbridge are great places to go when you feel like getting out and about and having fun. Most of those listed have green spaces with safe play areas for children. Fairlop Waters, Hainault Country Park and Valentines Park have even more to offer with lots of space for family activities, cycling paths, nature walks and woodland to explore. Some have visitor centres and refreshment kiosks. Check out the parks in nearby boroughs – all amazing places to visit. Havering is one of the greenest boroughs in London, on the Barking and Dagenham website you can find out about the Thames Chase Community Forest and Dagenham Corridor which runs from Hainault to the River Thames.
