Redbridge JCC promote equal opportunities and are inclusive of children from all backgrounds with all levels of learning and development. We have a person led approach and work with information that is provided to meet the individual needs of the children.
Our holiday schemes have been rated as ‘outstanding’ twice in a row, and offer informal learning to ages 4- 11. We are based in a community centre, where children have access to a creative space, a gym, outdoor football courts, IT space and our free play provision.
Redbridge JCC have a timetable of activities that children can chose to join which are age appropriate. In addition to this we offer a free play room which has a range of stimulating activities such as mark making, sand and water play, a quiet corner with books and bean bags, along with construction, puzzles and role play for children to learn independently. We support children who may need a one to one assistant, and have a quiet area in the office which allows access to a computer, books, puzzles, toys and had a reward and sticker chart for encouragement.
- Identifying children's needs
Parents must declare on their registration form if children have additional needs and the staff will then work with the Care plan or protocol as required. In some cases we will liaise with LSA from the school along with any additional School Nurses who will be able to provide us with extra medical training. Staff liaise with Parents at the end of the day to update them with the progress and development of their child.
- Dedicated contacts
Redbridge JCC Senior staff team will be the ones to liaise with parents and cater our care to meet the needs of individuals. We have a part time members of staff who is the lead SENCo.
