Family Counselling (Step Up)

Step Up provides counselling to children and young people who have been sexually abused and/or raped, and counselling for their families. They can help children and their siblings and families to come to terms with the abuse and recover from the impact of their abuse.  The service includes:

  • A Telephone Helpline for Parents
  • A Befriending Service for families
  • A monthly drop-in for non-abusing parents/carers
  • Family Outings during school holidays
  • Support for Court Attendance
  • Counselling for adults/children and play therapy
  • An educational programme in schools to raise awareness
  • Drop In is bi-monthly
  • The telephone Helpline is Monday - Friday 10am -2pm

Drop In is on the first and third Wednesday of the month.
