What is this service?
The Joseph Clarke Service for the Visually Impaired can visit at home to offer advice and support for pre-school children and their parents/carers with regard to the visual impairment of their child. Visits can include; answering any questions, talking through any concerns, working together to provide a home visual stimulation programme, advice on appropriate toys and how to play with a child with a child with a visual impairment. The Service works closely with other professionals involved.
