Freedom Pass for disabled | Redbridge

The Freedom Pass enables residents with a disability to travel free within the Freedom Pass boundary on London's public transport.

What is a Freedom Pass?

The Freedom Pass provides unlimited free travel within the Freedom Pass boundary on London's public transport network during off peak hours. This includes buses, tubes, National Rail, Docklands Light Railway and Trams. It can also be used outside London on local bus services in England (as per The English National Bus Scheme), although disabled people with a Discretionary Freedom Pass cannot use this service.

Am I eligible?

If you are not eligible for the Older Persons Freedom Pass, your sole or principal residence is in Redbridge and you have an eligible disability you can apply for a Freedom Pass to help you get around London.

Eligibility begins from 5 years old and can remain until you are of age to qualify for the Older Persons Freedom Pass. However, children are permitted to travel for free on buses, the tube, DLR and London Overground.
