Sensory Services Centre (Action on Hearing Loss)
The Sensory Services Centre (part of Action on Hearing Loss, formerly RNID) provides services to deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted and deafblind people in partnership with other organisations.
Services in Redbridge include:
- assessment and issue of equipment to deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people
- assessment of needs of blind, partially sighted and deafblind people
- information, advice and training about sensory loss
- support of individuals
- a weekly drop-in session with a community British Sign Language interpreter
- a community base for clubs
- display and demonstration of equipment for people with sensory loss
