Downsyndrome Extra 21
Down Syndrome Extra 21 was formerly known as the North East Thames Branch of the Down Syndrome Association (DSA). Although still affiliated to the DSA, they consist of parents, carers and people with Down syndrome and are run by an elected committee of volunteers covering Essex and Greater London. Their aims are:-
- to promote equal opportunities for people with Down syndrome and offer support to them and their families.
- to promote public awareness of Down syndrome and to encourage local support groups.
- to provide information through conferences, workshops, newsletters and this website.
- that all funds raised are used to further the activities of Down Syndrome Extra 21.
