Venue change for the Redbridge Child Development Centre

Families with children with specialist needs in Redbridge have a new refurbished centre to meet their service needs. The CDC,  originally located in Kenwood Gardens opened its doors at its new address at Grovelands, on 23 October 2014.

The move is but the first step towards creating a one-stop centre for children in Redbridge, including those with complex needs. The longer term aim is for Redbridge children’s specialist health needs to be housed under one roof on a brand new site.  The NELFT estates department is currently rolling out Phase 111 of its strategy to find suitable locations where integrated services can be delivered.

The refurbishment at the newly located Redbridge CDC involved seeking parents’ and local support groups’ views on the final design of the décor and the appointment system. For more information about NELFT’s specialist children’s services visit
